WTR is a Chicago based production studio/record label specializing in HIP HOP, JAZZ, FUNK, and SOUL. Taking musical and professional cues from the Godfathers like Motown, Chess, Stax, Curtom, and Def Jam; to the Grandchildren like Daptone, Wax Poetics, Stones Throw, Record Kicks, and All Natural; WTR aims to keep the soulful side of Hip Hop, Jazz and Funk alive through digital and analog releases.

The home based operation is funded, founded and funked by bassist/engineer/producer/CEO Mike Andersen with groovy sounds provided by The Jordan Years featuring Wes Restless.
