Dusty Groove review of The Jordan Years “See the Light / Warm Me Up” 45
“Tight-stepping soul from the Chicago scene — a surprisingly great bit of blue-eyed work from The Jordan Years, fronted by lead singer Wes Restless! Pitched the wrong way, the group might be a bar band gone wrong — but there’s a really solid feel to this record, one that grabs you right away with the tight keyboard lines at the start, then really gets sent home by Restless’ surprisingly strong vocal approach! Horns top things out nicely, and the single’s in a space somewhere between late 60s Memphis crossover, and the SF Fillmore scene.”
