Gregory Isaacs is the Frank Sinatra of reggae with his silky vocal tendencies, this man will be missed! A big shout out to Don B, Dave C and Tim D for exposing me to his music!!!

What else can be said about Walter Payton? Check the highlights although i can think of a million other songs to bed it. . .
Walter Payton July 25, 1954 – November 1, 1999
Lena Horne, the enchanting jazz singer and actress known for her plaintive, signature song “Stormy Weather” and for her triumph over the bigotry that allowed her to entertain white audiences but not socialize with them, has died. She was 92.
Horne died Sunday at NewYork-Presbyterian Hospital, said hospital spokeswoman Gloria Chin, who would not release details.
This came to a shock to me, without having knowledge of his declining health leading up to his untimely death, I was stunned to say the least to hear of his passing. As a musician in the 90s, very few albums bridged the gap between hip hop and jazz as GURUs Jazzmatazz series did. You will be missed GURU, rest in peace!
The following features one of my top 5 favorite female vocalists of all time. Enjoy!
Thank you to JC Brooks for the heads up of Teddy Pendergrass’ passing. As a flower delivery guy throughout college in the 90′s I distinctly remember first hearing “Come Go With Me” on Chicago’s V103 and instantly turned huge Teddy fan. Today is a sad day for baby making. . .
