The Jordan Years will be hitting the stage one last time before Summer turns to Autumn. Please come out and show your love, The Jordan Years have been working with a horn section and will be debuting the Bull Horns at this gig.
What’s up, JordanHeads. Yeah, we’ve been slacking a bit this summer.
The Jordan Years are back, this Friday (August 20th) with another big show in Wicker Park at the “Sub-T”. We are the middle band, so come early and stay late to hang with us as we check out the CD release party for funk band Doko Benjo.
The Jordan Years are playing their first official club show of the Summer!
Coming hot off the heels playing house band to comedy show The City That Works @ Lincoln Hall & TBS Just For Laughs Festival with Schadenfreude, house band for the Miss Wicker Park Pageant @ Double Door and a great rain-free slot at Logan Square’s Boulevard Bash, the band is ready to bring the party and hopefully show off some new material!
Its a Wednesday… so use up one of those sick days Thursday, cause this show is gonna be sick!
Here’s a Dre Day vid with Adad sitting in with The Jordan Years!
Did you hear about the Just For Laughs Comedy Festival June 17th at Martyrs featuring The Jordan Years, Schadenfreude, Rhymefest, Eddie & Jobo, Tim Smithe and others?
June 4, 2010: 6:30pm The Interview Show. Host Mark Bazer holds down Chicago’s preeminent live-stage interview program. Mark secures high-profile guests for intimate sit-down interviews and also invites Schadenfreude to come screw around once in a while, this time they are bringing the band (The Jordan Years), also appearing Charlie Trotter! The Hideout – 1354 Wabansia.
After slaying Kinetic Playground in March, The Jordan Years return for an hour + set spanning new material, some old and some freaky. Start your Memorial Day weekend off right, with The Jordan Years of course! This will be an all music set, no comedy in this show! Come one come all.
Also performing are the 80’s throw back band The Buck Stops which will be playing the finest in REM, the Clash, the Smiths, etc. TJY’s Joe the Drummer will be on the kit for both acts. A DJ is booked for after from what we understand but don’t know who that is.
A very special thank you to Claire Zulkey for her Funny Ha Ha show! Too bad I’m not as good as a writer or as funny as any of the great personalities to take the stage last night!
