After you get the snow shoveled and the fire started, grab that special friend close and take a listen to the Jordan Years “Warm Me Up”.
It goes great with any wine or spirit on a day like today Chicago.
This may be one of the funnier flyers I have seen in a minute. Great design work by Wes Restless.
This Saturday (1/29/11) The GENT$ (Ill Legit, Pugs Atomz, Wes Restless) with DJ Alo holding it down on the 1′s & 2′s and myself playing bass live at Subterranean! Also on the bill COJACK, MATLOCK, NEAK, and DJ STRATEGY with Photo Booth by Tom Bligh.

The Jordan Years kick off 2011 at one of our favorite venues… darkroom!
FACT: Friday the 14th is actually the luckiest day of the year; come get lucky with The Jordan Years. Can’t wait to rock with long time favorites Diplomats of Solid Sound and LA Jesus!

That’s right, I love Detroit and I will be playing bass with Wes Restless and Ill Legit this coming Friday (1/7/11) at the Old Miami as part of the The Ill & the Restless Midwest support tour.
I know a lot of bad things get said of the Motor City but I really really like it, is that wrong? From my time playing at the Music Menu in Greektown to even Memphis Smoke in Royal Oak, I have never had a bad time, there was that one time in Windsor but that doesn’t count, Canadians are weird.
Anyway, if you are in or near Detroit please come out and toss a few back with us, and if you are brave you might even host the after party. . . Unfortunately I have no details as to showtime and/or admission but if you get there early enough I bet you wont have to pay to get in, maybe?
Here’s the first video off of the Ill & the Restless

Here’s the first video off of THE ILL & THE RESTLESS dropping 12/3/10, be sure to check out the release party at DARKROOM on Friday Dec 3, 2010. I will be there and it’s my birthday weekend so buy me a drink eh?
Millennium Park was beautiful that day, not too crowded and cold as it can get in November. Towards the end there is a cluster of SIU girls who saw us filming and “had to be in a hip hop video”, so there you have it.
Otherwise had the pleasure of doing some of the filming for this video and all of the editing. It might not be the prettiest vid out there but it cost us ZERO dollars to make, well there was that 30 pack of cheap domestic to get through editing. . . Flip Cam HD, Powerbook Laptop Camera, & Final Cut Express… DIY BABY!!!
Be sure to check out Illy and Wes at Darkroom though, if you don’t an angel loses its wings.

What you waiting for? The Time is Now!
Here’s the third installment off the Ill and the Restless album dropping Dec 3rd. This tune features the Jordan Years Michael Cole on keys, party dude Thomas Bligh on percussion and songstress Isis Rose on the hook. Great stuff as always coming out of Illy and Wes. Keep up the good work Gent$!!
The second single from the new album from Ill Legit & Wes Restless called “The Ill & The Restless” drops next month, these tunes are sounding real nice, better make the Release Party @ Darkroom (12/3)!
Due to my future political aspirations I don’t approve of the subject matter of course, but it still has a nice melody. . . I Been Smokin’ by Wes Restless
I have the pleasure of working with these guys on the regular and it amazes me how both Illy and Wes never stop recording, ever. The amount of Busch Light that is consumed should be illegal, or maybe it is? Anyway this is their first leak off the new album entitled “The Ill & the Restless” due to be released 12/3/10, can’t wait to hear the rest!
